Paint House Exterior Martensville near Saskatoon

A dramatic restoration of aged, peeling oil-based wood siding in Saskatoon, fully primed and repainted for long-lasting protection and curb appeal.

This charming bungalow was showing its age, with wood siding coated in heavily peeling oil-based paint-a common challenge in older exteriors. Our team was brought in to not only refresh the appearance, but also to restore the integrity of the siding and ensure proper long-term adhesion of the new coating. We began the project with a deep power wash, arriving over a week in advance to give the wood ample time to dry before sanding and painting. The prep work was extensive: the team used orbital sanders and carbide scrapers to remove as much of the failing oil-based coating as possible. Any loose or flaking paint was addressed thoroughly, with a strong focus on creating a clean, bondable surface. Because oil-based coatings deteriorate over time and can compromise adhesion for new latex finishes, we applied a full coat of oil-based primer to seal the surface and ensure optimal adhesion. Once fully primed, we applied two coats of Dulux's Weatherguard Exterior Latex paint. The transformation was immediate, turning a tired, worn-out exterior into a vibrant and welcoming home with dramatically improved curb appeal.
