These clients had lived with neon green walls for far too long- it was time for a change that made their basement feel relaxing, cozy, and comfortable. A week before the start of the project, we tested the chosen color on the wall. After seeing it in person, the clients realized it wasn’t quite right. Thanks to this early test, they opted to purchase a new gallon for a completely different shade that they ended up loving. With the color finalized, we began prepping the space. All furniture was moved to the center of the room and carefully covered. Drop sheets were laid over the carpet, and all light fixtures and electrical cover plates were removed to allow for clean, uninterrupted painting. We used Interior Drydex Spackle to fill in nail holes, dents, and other imperfections, followed by light sanding and spot priming any areas larger than a toonie. The walls were then pole sanded and dusted before applying the first coat of Sherwin-Williams SuperPaint Interior Acrylic Latex. On Day 2, we returned to scuff sand and apply the second coat, ensuring strong adhesion and a flawless finish. The clients were thrilled with the results and even left us a glowing 5-star review on Google!
