This home’s dated green exterior was in desperate need of a refresh-and our team delivered just that with a crisp, modern taupe finish. We started a week ahead with a thorough power wash using a gas-powered pressure washer, strong enough to clean the textured stucco and begin lifting flaking paint. Tarps were placed along the base of the home to catch loose chips, which we carefully cleaned up before leaving the site. When we returned, we wire-brushed all flaking paint on the brick surfaces and laid fresh drop sheets around the house to maintain a clean and safe workspace. With stucco and brick, the best application method is by spray, so we prepped meticulously: plastic was used to tape off windows and doors, masking paper protected the soffits, and downspouts were removed to ensure we could paint every inch behind them. Due to powerlines located at the back of the property, we prioritized safety by using fiberglass ladders, which are non-conductive and ideal for working around electricity. This allowed our painters to safely access and complete all areas without risk. We applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams A-100 Exterior Paint, spraying and back-rolling thoroughly with a fluffy roller to ensure even coverage and prevent paint buildup. The transformation was dramatic, taking the home from an outdated green to a stylish taupe that looks clean, timeless, and move-in ready. This full exterior repaint took just over 40 hours, completed in two long days by a hardworking team eager to finish before heading back to school.
